Childs Glacier Adventures and Shuttle

Shuttle

Let us transport you to our world at the Childs Glacier.  We depart daily from the 37 mile washout where we travel the mighty Copper River in an enclosed jet boat (Nice touch since it has been known to rain here on occasion.).  During the hour trip up the river we watch for wildlife such as bears, moose and seals as well as icebergs.  We pass under the Million Dollar Bridge and traverse Miles Lake to the Miles Glacier.  We spend time watching the face of this tidewater style glacier and navigate the massive icebergs watching for caves and calving.  It is back to the Million Dollar Bridge where we board a van to the camp ground in front of the Childs Glacier.  There we have a picnic with food and beverage you provide and watch for Childs to calve.  Later we tour the Million Dollar Bridge and Childs.

At the end of the day we reverse the route and deliver you back to the Cordova side of the washout.  Custom scenarios are welcomed.  Trips generally depart around 10:00am and return between 4:30 and 5:00pm.  Rates start at $275/person.
